Cards from 6th Grader & Pre-K student (on my pin board).
My students make me very proud. I have been teaching for over 14 years in various settings and age groups in Philadelphia, Connecticut and New York. Oh and by the way, I didn't ask them to write these: Ms. Hillman! I really wanted to say thank you. To be honest, until I had your art classes, I used to hate art because my drawings or paintings never came out the way I wanted. I also used to think that designing is something that I would never do in my life. I didn't consider myself as an artist or a creative person. You taught me so much and gave confidence about my artworks. You are a great teacher and a person. Thank you so much. E. P. 12th Grade
I wish we had more time with you, I learned more in those months with you than 8 years of crummy art classes in grade school. Y.W. 12th Grade
Ms. Hillman, I got a job...and they needed to set up a website. So I drew out the whole design and they loved it! When I presented the project, it made me smile because I remembered you as I stood there using vocabulary words you taught me, everything from the "background, foreground, middle ground" to "the shade and value of colors". Made me really thankful for the time you spent teaching me all these things, as if it wasn't for you, I probably would never get the money I received for designing a website. S.H. 12th Grade
